Hydrafacial FAQs
Is Hydrafacial safe?
Hydrafacial is a gentle, non-invasive treatment suitable for many skin types. Before treatment, your clinician will assess your skin, medical history and individual needs to confirm suitability.
Is Hydrafacial painful?
The treatment is designed to be comfortable and relaxing. You may feel light suction or a gentle tingling sensation, but it should not be painful.
Is there any downtime?
Hydrafacial generally requires no downtime, allowing you to return to your usual activities immediately. Some people may experience mild, temporary redness or sensitivity.
How long does a Hydrafacial take?
A Hydrafacial can be completed in as little as 30 minutes. Both our Hydrafacial Deluxe and Hydrafacial Platinum include a targeted booster. The Deluxe takes approximately 50 minutes, while the Platinum takes approximately 55 minutes and also includes detoxifying lymphatic drainage.
How often should I have a Hydrafacial?
Many clients choose a Hydrafacial approximately every four weeks to maintain their results. Your clinician will recommend a treatment schedule based on your skin concerns and goals.
Can my Hydrafacial be personalised?
Yes. Your Hydrafacial can be customised with optional enhancements, including lymphatic drainage to remove toxic buildup, targeted treatment boosters and Healite II LED light therapy. Your clinician can recommend the most suitable options for your skin.
What is detoxifying lymphatic drainage?
Gentle lymphatic drainage is performed at the beginning of the treatment to help reduce puffiness, support healthy circulation and leave the skin looking refreshed and more sculpted. It also prepares the skin for the treatment steps that follow.
What are Hydrafacial boosters?
Boosters are concentrated serums added to your Hydrafacial to target specific skin concerns. Different options are available, and your clinician will select the most suitable booster following a skin assessment.
Depending on the booster selected, benefits may include:
- Improved hydration and a plumper-looking complexion
- Softening the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Supporting firmer, more elastic-looking skin
- Brightening dull or uneven-looking skin
- Reducing the appearance of dark spots
- Improving the appearance of congestion and excess oil
- Calming and refreshing the skin
What is the Healite II LED light therapy?
Healite II by Cynosure Lutronic is a gentle, non-invasive LED light therapy treatment that can be added after your Hydrafacial. It uses low-level light therapy to support the skin’s natural recovery process and may help reduce post-treatment redness, swelling and inflammation—with no additional downtime.
