Excessive Sweating

Hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating is a common concern, affecting more than 3% of the population. Underarm sweating and the related odour can be socially embarrassing and can negatively impact self-confidence.

Hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating can be effectively treated using wrinkle relaxers or anti-wrinkle injections. It’s a non-surgical treatment and works by a series of fine injections into the affected area. The medication minimises the function of the sweat glands and effectively decreases sweating.

Before the Treatment 

Prior to excessive sweating or hyperhidrosis treatment at COCO Skin Clinic you will receive a consultation with your treatment provider to determine if this is the right treatment for you. During this time, you will be able to ask questions and have any concerns addressed.

During the Treatment

The treatment is only minimally uncomfortable and typically does not require any anaesthetic. However, we do routinely offer topical numbing cream if you’d prefer. Ice is applied, before a few quick injections into the area being treated. The treatment is very quick and the injections only take a few minutes.

After the Treatment 

Once the treatment has been completed, you can return to your normal duties or return to work immediately. You may notice a few tiny red injection site marks. These generally subside within 15 mins. We will discuss your aftercare with you and give you written aftercare instructions.

The Results 

• Reduction or elimination of sweating in the treated area
• Reduction or elimination of related odour

Number of Treatments 

Results are seen as early as 2 weeks after the 1st treatment.

Longevity of Results

The results are expected to last for 6-12 months and can be repeated.
