Emsella is a non-invasive treatment designed to help people suffering from incontinence feel empowered and confident. The innovative HIFEM procedure promotes intimate health and wellness, allowing individuals to overcome incontinence without the need for surgery or invasive measures. By simply sitting back and relaxing during a few appointments, Emsella provides a safe and effective way to address incontinence, helping individuals regain control and enhance their quality of life.
Before the Treatment
Prior to any skin treatment at COCO Skin Clinic you will receive a thorough consultation with your Dermal Therapist to determine if this is the right treatment for you. During this consultation, you will be able to ask questions and have any concerns addressed.
During the Treatment
During an Emsella treatment session, the patient sits on the Emsella chair, which emits high-intensity electromagnetic waves that target the pelvic floor muscles. These electromagnetic waves stimulate the muscles, causing them to contract and relax rapidly, similar to doing Kegel exercises. The contractions and relaxations help to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, which are responsible for supporting the bladder and controlling urinary function.
Emsella treatment is typically painless and does not require any anesthesia or downtime. Each session usually lasts around 30 minutes, and patients may require a series of several sessions for optimal results, depending on the severity of their condition.
After the Treatment
You may resume daily activities immediately after the treatment as there is no downtime involved.
Some patients may feel a sense of fatigue or mild soreness in the pelvic muscles, similar to what one might feel after a workout. However, these sensations are generally mild and temporary, and most patients do not experience any significant discomfort or pain during or after the treatment.
The Results
- Improved bladder control
- Strengthened pelvic floor muscles
- Overall intimate satisfaction
Best Suited For
Emsella is recommended for women who need care after delivery, as well as for both men and women suffering from urinary incontinence or decreased intimate satisfaction. It may be suitable for individuals with mild to moderate stress urinary incontinence who prefer a non-invasive treatment option without surgery or downtime, although it may not be as effective for severe cases or other types of urinary incontinence.
