Collagen Biostimulator
Collagen Biostimulator is a non-surgical treatment which gradually stimulates your own body’s collagen in the treated area. As it provides a natural looking, gradual result, it is ideal for those who are seeking an ‘untouched’ progressive rejuvenating treatment. In addition to the volume restoration effects of collagen biostimulators, it has positive results on the skin’s appearance, secondary to the increased collagen production. It is a series of 2-3 injectable treatments, performed once a month and has long-lasting results. Before the Treatment
Prior to any medical cosmetic treatment at COCO Skin Clinic you will receive a face-to-face consultation with your treatment provider to determine if this is the right treatment for you. During this time, you will be able to ask questions and have any concerns addressed. Your skin will be thoroughly cleansed to ensure that all make-up and residue is removed prior to treatment. It will be disinfected using medicated solution.
During the Treatment
Topical numbing cream and local anaesthetic will be used. With these measures, most people find that collagen biostimulator treatment is only minimally uncomfortable.
After the Treatment
You may experience localised bruising and swelling of the treated area immediately following collagen biostimulator treatment. The extent of this is very individual – however, we find that in most people, localised swelling settles within 24-48 hours and bruising (if any) settles within a few days. However, we do recommend that you allow 2 weeks recovery period before any major social events.
An essential component of collagen biostimulator is the after-care. We recommend that the treated area is massaged firmly for 5 mins, 5 times/day for the first 5 days (‘5x5x5 rule’). Adhering to the after-care instructions minimises the risk of unwanted adverse effects.
The Results

Unlike dermal fillers where a results are seen immediately, the results from collagen biostimulator appear gradually, typically over 2-3 months.
